High-purity nickel particles are silver-white metal in appearance, with a density of 8.902g/cm ³, a melting point of 1453 ° C, and a boiling point of 2732 ° C. They possess magnetic properties and good plasticity. It is a metallic element with good corrosion resistance, being hard, malleable and ferromagnetic. It can be highly polished and resistant to corrosion. It turns green after dissolving in nitric acid. It is mainly used in alloys (such as nickel-steel and nickel-silver) and as a catalyst (such as Raney nickel, especially as a catalyst for hydrogenation).
